Congratulations to Duluth Curling Clubs’ Ethan Meyers and Cory Christensen Rinks for winning the 2013 Minnesota Men’s and Women’s Junior State Curling Championship at the Duluth Curling this weekend.

The Ethan Meyers Rink with teammates Kyle Kakela (Rolla, ND), Trevor Host (Duluth, MN), and Cameron Ross (Princeton Junction, NJ) defeated the Tony Wright Rink of Duluth in the final draw on December 30, 2012.

The Tony Wright Rink of the Duluth Curling Club with teammates Will Howieson (Good Thunder, MN ), Jesse Jaeger (Madison Lake, MN) and Wesley Leksell (Duluth, MN) will also represent Minnesota as the runner-up at the U.S. Junior National Championship in Wayland, MA.

The Cory Christensen Rink of the Duluth Curling Club with teammates Becca Funk (Madison, WI), Anna Bauman (Duluth, MN), and Sonja Bauman (Duluth, MN) went undefeated in the 2013 Minnesota Women’s Junior State Curling Championship and will represent Minnesota at the U.S. Junior National Championship. There were 12 men’s and 4 women’s teams that participated in the 2013 Men’s and Women’s Junior State Curling Championship.
