The 2009 Duluth Cash Spiel is Men’s and Ladies’ ASHAM World Curling Tour Event with a triple knock-out format. Year after year, some of the best curlers in the US and Canada compete in this event. The DCC will host 24 men’s teams (4 game guarantee) and 16 women’s teams (3 game guarantee). Prize monies depend on field size.

Registration Information
- Register early to guarantee your spot! Entry for this event is $625 (fee includes WCT costs and state/city taxes) with a deposit of $325 USD due upon registration.
- A complete entry and the $325 deposit will hold your spot in the event. Entries received without a deposit will be considered invalid and will not hold a spot.
- You will receive a confirming email once your complete entry and deposit are received, so please include your email address with your entry payment.
- No refunds will be allowed after October 26, 2009. Your entry will not be considered valid until the check is received by mail.
Event Format
- Play will get underway the morning of Friday, November 6th for both the men and women’s divisions. The first men’s draw will be at 2:30pm and the first ladies’ draw will be at 5:30pm.
- The men’s championship round will be played on Sunday, November 9th at 6PM.
- The women’s championship round will be played on Sunday, November 8th.
- The men’s format is a triple knockout with 8 teams qualifying to the quarterfinals.
- The women’s format is a triple knockout with 6 teams qualifying to the quarterfinals.
- Games will be 8 ends and all teams are guaranteed 3 games.
- We will be using email for notification of draw times and confirmation.
- Payouts for the Duluth Cash Spiel 2009 will increase from levels set last year but final amounts are dependent on the amount of sponsorship money that is contributed to the event.
About Our Ice
We know that with last year’s Duluth Cash Spiel came many challenging ice conditions. We are excited to announce that over the summer, the feed and return lines from the compressor to the curling floor surface have been replaced. New plastic pipe was put in to replace the rusting metal piping. The piping under the curling surface was flushed with water to clear any blockage.
