Senior Men’s Worlds

Duluth curler Phil DeVore was selected by the Geoff Goodland rink as their alternate at the Senior Men’s World Championships. Phil will be attending the World Championships in St Paul April 16-23.

Minnesota Mixed Curling Champions

2011 State Mixed Championship were played in Two Harbors Feb. 25 – 27, 2011.

The winners were Andy Jukich, Norma O’Leary, Phil DeVore, and Elizabeth Busche.

Juniors do well in Alaska

Seven of our junior curlers competed at the 2011 Junior Nationals in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The Cory Christensen rink was awarded the Curtis Cup for Sportsmanship. Congratulations Cory Christensen, Elizabeth Busche, Anna Bauman, and Sonja Bauman.

John Landsteiner was named All-Star skip and and selected by Team Wald as their alternate. John will be attending the World Championships in Scotland with Team Wald as their 5th player. Congratulations John!

Sophie Brorson’s Junior team won the 2011 Junior Nationals in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is Sophie’s third Junior National Title. Sophie’s team now advances to the 2011 World Junior Championships March 5‐13 in Perth, Scotland. Congratulations Sophie!

Fun Night This Friday!

All adult curlers of the DCC are invited as well as your family and friends.  Play a pick-up game with other members of our club. The fun starts at 6:00pm. Instruction will be offered for new curlers. Fee is $5 for non members. Food and Bar service available. Join in the fun!

Congratulations Joe Polo!

Joe’s team won the 2011 Nationals in Fargo, ND. Joe and his team now advance to represent the United States in the 2011 World Curling Championships April 2-10 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Congratulations Team Fenson!
