Help Prepare Our Curling Ice

The process of putting our curling ice in has begun!

We need volunteers to help whitewash the ice on Thursday, October 14th at 5PM.

We also need help on Monday and Tuesday, October 18th and 19th, to paint circles on the ice.

Please call Doug Britton at 724-8115 or e-mail at, if you are able to help.

Curling Club Cleanup – October 6 and 11

Club Cleanup time!  Come join the fun:

  • Wednesday October 6th, 6-9 pm. This will focus on cleaning the main club room.  Bring your own bucket and gloves.
  • Monday October 11th, 6-9 pm. If Wednesday is successful, this evening will focus on painting.  Bring your own brush and/or roller (roller heads, paint and pans will be provided).

Pizza and beverages provided.  Hope to see you there!

Notice for Beginning and Novice Curlers

This year, there will be a league at 4pm on Sundays for new and novice curlers. It will be a non-competitive league with a round robin schedule designed to introduce you to curling and league play. We plan to have experienced curlers on the ice for the first 2 months to teach delivery, sweeping, etiquette and strategy. This will be a great league for curlers with 5 years or less experience to introduce their friends to curling!

There will also be a Wednesday 7pm instructional league. This is limited to true beginners (unless space permits room for last year’s participants) with instruction each week. This league runs at the same time as the Wed 7pm women’s league and is limited to 3 or 4 sheets, based on the size of the women’s league.

For both leagues, the club allows beginners to use our brooms and sliders so there is no equipment cost for the first season.

We hope to see you on the ice!
