There are several buildings in the DECC complex. The Curling Club is in Pioneer Hall, the first building on your left. Except during events, the front doors on the north of the building are usually locked, . The west door is usually open after 1PM, Monday through Thursday, and there will be staff inside to help you. The west door is at the extreme northwest corner on the second floor of Pioneer Hall.
How to get here:
NORTHBOUND (From southern Minnesota or Wisconsin): Exit Interstate-35 at 5th Avenue West, take a right and go around the DECC buildings to the east entrance into the DECC parking lot. WESTBOUND (From the North Shore and Thunder Bay): As you come into Duluth on Hwy 61, there will be a chance to enter Interstate 35 at 26th Avenue East. Take this, and in abut 2-3 miles, exit Interstate-35 on the RIGHT at Lake Avenue (just before the third tunnel). Its a double exit, so stay left after the exit to go up the ramp to Lake Avenue. Then turn left on Lake Avenue, go one block, and then a right on Railroad Street. Go two blocks on Railroad ,and take the second left, just past the large red ore boat. Enter the DECC parking lot via the first entrance you come to. SOUTHBOUND (From the Iron Range and points north and west): Follow Hwy 194 south to its intersection with Hwy 4 (or vise-versa). There will be a large church with a pyramid-shaped roof on your left. Continue downhill on Central Entrance / 6th Avenue East (NOT Mesabe Avenue), and take a right on 3rd Street. Go 6 blocks west to Lake Avenue and turn left (downhill). Go down 5 blocks, over I-35, and turn right on Railroad St, then take the second left, just past the large red ore boat. Enter the DECC parking lot via the first entrance you come to.
AT THE DECC: There is a $3 fee to park in the DECC parking lot. If you have a coupon for
a
DCC event, give it to the attendant.
Otherwise, you may be able to talk your way in for free if you explain that you are visiting the Curling Club. There is also
free public parking just outside the DECC parking lot, to the east and north, within one block. ![]() 241,571 hits on the DCC site in the past year. | ||||||
